How therapy with me can help you:
I work with individuals and couples and lean on my systemic training to see people in context. I see my clients in their full humanity and invite my clients to do the same. I specialize in helping clients navigate life transitions, stress, identity, and relational issues. I am a certified Prepare/ Enrich facilitator and trainer and enjoy working with engaged couples who want to build a strong foundation.
I use an integrative and strengths-based approach that incorporates solution focus, narrative, DBT, and trauma-informed practices into her sessions. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and hold space for clients to build awareness and compassion while meeting their goals.
About me:
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology, with minors in Studio Art and English at Georgetown University. I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a masters in Couple and Family Therapy and a PhD in Family Science. My dissertation focuses on how couple and family therapists enact social justice practice and I currently also serve as a core faculty member at The Family Institute at Northwestern. I am an AAMFT Clinical Fellow and AAMFT Approved Supervisor. I have additional training in trauma based modalities including EMDR.
In my free time, you'll find me tending to my plants, exploring the world of food and beverage, and spending time with family and friends.
