How therapy with me can help you:
Establishing a safe and accepting environment is my goal when working with clients from diverse backgrounds. I like to take a conversational approach and take time to understand my clients from a systemic perspective by considering familial, relational, and social dynamics. Life changes, past experiences, and personal values can intertwine with one another and influence how we view and interact with the world around us. Utilizing a Trauma-Informed background and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), I incorporate techniques that help couples and individuals explore interaction cycles, attachment styles, and their emotional experience. Combining techniques from EFT and Solution-Focused Therapy, I collaborate with clients to identify concrete goals and explore new solutions that align with clients’ needs. I enter sessions with authenticity and curiosity to encourage my clients to be curious about their most authentic self.
About me:
I received my B.S. in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in Neuroscience at University of California, Davis and continued my graduate education with Capella University. I am currently working on a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis on Addictive Behavior. I’d like to say I am a free spirit and enjoy navigating new experiences. In my free time I enjoy riding and working on my motorcycle, hiking, cooking, spending time with family, and listening to music.
