How therapy with me can help you:
I'm a very collaborative therapist who views clients (and supervisees) as experts in their own lives. I enjoy getting to know folks and working with them to elicit their own strengths that will prepare them well for change and transition. Life is full of stressors and I use a practical framework (stages of change) to guide others with making meaningful changes in their lives. I'll often recommend movies, books, and podcasts that have related themes and may support my clients or supervisees at particular moments in time.
About me:
As a Marriage and Family therapist by training, I am open-minded practitioner who considers the intricacies of systems in the lives of those I am supporting. I began my career providing therapy in an intensive community setting, where I worked on a Housing First ACT team. I have been trained in evidence based practices such as motivational interviewing and trauma informed care and work from a person-centered lens. I enjoy supporting clients with life changes and women's issues.
I love having variety in my life which is no different in my career; therefore, I am therapist, business owner, clinical supervisor, and trainer/consultant. It's really fulfilling for me to wear multiple hats and not only support clients but also support therapists and helpers in all stages of their careers. I've benefited from having wonderful supervision and mentoring and now I'm determined to give back the same to others. I'm proud to have been serving the District's residents since 2011.
I now live in College Park, MD and can often be found riding my Radwagon cargo bike or listening to (work and non-work) podcasts in my personal time.
